What is Lolita Fashion?

Lolita Fashion is a street fashion that started in Harajuku, Tokyo, Japan in the 1980s. The fashion features aesthetics from the Victorian, Rococo, and Baroque eras. Basically it is about looking almost looking like a doll in a way with knee-length skirts and dresses. If the thought that comes in mind associates with young girls who are trying to sexualize themselves for old and perverted men, then you should erase those thoughts away! This fashion is the exact opposite from the book by Vladimir.

Outfits for the fashion are modest for all ages and it is about being beautiful without trying too hard to make yourself sexy. I (Beni-chan) love this fashion style from Japan because it reminds me of the elegance that this modern world has left decades ago. The idea about wearing dresses that are either cute or elegant entertains thoughts of peaceful outings and simplicity and that is what I love about the fashion.
